I love hair bows in a little girls hair. Who knows if this baby inside of me is a girl or not, but in case it is, I wanted to start early to learn how to make cute hair bows so she'll be all set! For now I'm just practicing, and lucky for me I have lots of cute nieces and friends with little girls so these bows will be put to good use. :)
I found THIS tutorial on YouTube which is pretty easy to follow, but it only shows how to make one basic type of bow. These bows all have alligator clips on the back, so they can be used plain or clipped on to a headband.
Does anyone out there have any suggestions or sites they like that show how to make any other style of bows? Otherwise, I guess I'll just play around and figure out how to make different styles. Good thing I have lots of ribbon on hand for trial and error!
I have had fun practicing so far...here is a picture of the ones I made this weekend to start with. I think my favorite is the little brown polka dot bow and least favorite is the navy blue (don't really care for how it turned out, but love the dark blue color). Obviously as you can see from the picture, I have a thing for polka dots. :)

I just love that little tan one with the brown polk-a-dots! Super cute!
And for the record, you should enjoy wearing them in your hair too, because every time we put a bow in Charley's hair she takes it out. Best to put it in your own hair to not lose it!
I like this site

I also has some cool idea for headbands, etc. I make all of Amy's bows and basically you just either stack different colors on top of cone another or make that "tails" longer, etc. I think this lady shows you how....
Hobby Lobby hosts a bow-making class too. Yours are very cute. Wish I had figured out how to make cute bows sooner. Caralie is starting to get anal about her hair. Boo.
